Position Overview Seeking a compassionate and proactive Patient Experience Technician to ensure every patient feels comfortable, respected, and cared for. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional patient experience by assisting in the facility and lobby areas prior to discharge. Assist with de-escalating patient complaints in person and over the phone. Support medication coordination, such as calling in prescriptions (e.g., Eliquis) for patients. Assist with medical records tasks, including scanning and locating charts as needed. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, visitors, and team members. Train staff on Hospitality bedside manner and patient care expectations. Proactively identify patient needs through conversation and provide holistic support (e.g., offering an emesis bag for nausea). Advocate for patients by communicating urgent needs to the charge nurse or clinical staff. Ensure patient comfort by providing pillows, blankets, drinks, snacks, and other resources; conduct regular rounds in the lobby. Support efficient patient flow during registration and assist with completing required documentation to reduce wait times. Maintain a clean and organized lobby by sweeping, dusting, straightening, and addressing spills or hazards immediately by contacting Environmental Services. Requirements & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Customer service experience, preferably in a direct patient care setting within a high-volume, high-stress environment (Emergency Room experience preferred). Previous medical experience is a plus. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work autonomously and efficiently. Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to take initiative. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Excellent communication skills; must read, speak, and write English fluently. Flexible availability, including on-call and coverage needs. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
