Job Description

Company:
WyoStays Location:
Sheridan, WY Position:
Property Preparation Specialist Type:
Part-Time to
Full-Time Pay:
Competitive, based on experience | Overtime available•
ABOUT WYOSTAYS
WyoStays is a growing short-term and long-term property management company based in Sheridan, Wyoming. We manage homes, vacation rentals, and residential units across the region — and we take the experience we deliver seriously. We're not a faceless management company. We're a team that genuinely cares about the spaces we steward and the people who call them home, even for just a weekend.•
THIS IS NOT JUST A CLEANING JOB.
Let's be honest about that upfront. This is hospitality work. You are the final impression before a family turns a key for the first time. Before guests rest their head after a long drive. Before a new tenant calls somewhere home. That last detail you catch — the smudge on the mirror, the towel that wasn't quite right, the light that needed a new bulb — that's what separates a forgettable stay from one someone tells their friends about. We're looking for someone who already understands that. Someone who doesn't need to be told why it matters.•
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Property Preparation Specialist at WyoStays, you'll work across a portfolio of managed properties — preparing spaces for incoming guests, tenants, and families. No two days look exactly alike. One afternoon you're doing a detailed move-in inspection. The next, you're turning a vacation rental between back-to-back guests with hotel-level standards. Some shifts are deep cleans. Others involve light build-out support — assembling furniture, unboxing deliveries, or helping stage a space for habitability. Flexibility isn't a perk here. It's the whole job. And the people who thrive in this role are the ones who genuinely enjoy making things right.•
GROWTH OPPORTUNITY
THIS IS A LONG-TERM ROLE
We want to be clear about something: we are not looking for a one-off contractor or a seasonal fill-in. We're building a team, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. WyoStays is expanding even further. As we take on more properties, the right person in this role has a real path forward — more hours, increased responsibility, and the opportunity to take on a lead or supervisory role as the team grows. We invest in our people because this company only works when the people doing the work feel valued and supported. If you're looking for a place to land and grow — not just a paycheck until the next thing — this is for you.
  • WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Preparing residential properties for incoming tenants, guests, and families — cleaning, organizing, and staging to a hospitality-level standard
  • Performing move-in and move-out inspections, documenting property condition accurately
  • Executing routine cleans, deep cleans, and guest turnover cleans between short-term rental stays
  • Supporting light property build-outs — assembling furniture, unboxing deliveries, organizing spaces
  • Flagging and communicating maintenance issues or property concerns to our management team
  • Traveling between properties using your own reliable vehicle
  • Holding yourself to a high standard — because the people arriving deserve that
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
Consistent availability Thursday through Monday is required, with weekend availability being non-negotiable (Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am-5:00pm). This starts as a part-time position with a genuine path to full-time for the right person. Overtime is available during peak seasons — and in Wyoming's vacation rental market, that's more often than you'd think. There is some room for discussion over this schedule, except this specific role currently has a weekend requirement.•
THIS IS FOR YOU
IF... ✔ You take genuine pride in a job done right — not just done ✔ You work well independently and manage your time without being managed ✔ You notice the details others walk past ✔ You can pivot without drama when priorities shift ✔ You have experience in cleaning, property management, housekeeping, or hospitality ✔ You communicate clearly and show up when you say you will ✔ You have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle in good condition ✔ You're looking for a team to grow with, not just a gig to get through
THIS PROBABLY ISN'T FOR YOU
IF... ✗ Weekends are consistently unavailable ✗ "Good enough" is your standard for finished ✗ You need a rigid, predictable schedule every single day ✗ You're not interested in a long-term position with a growing company ✗ You're looking for a desk job that accidentally got mislabeled
  • WHAT WE PROVIDE
  • All cleaning supplies and materials — you bring the ethic, we'll bring the tools and we'll align you to the standard.
  • Training and onboarding to WyoStays' property preparation processes
  • A communicative, supportive team that actually answers the phone
  • A clear growth path as the company expands
  • A role where your work is seen, valued, and directly impacts real people's experiences
  • REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior experience in residential cleaning, property management, hospitality, or a related field (required)
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle in good working condition
  • Consistent availability Thursday through Monday, including weekends 10am-5pm
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks — lifting, bending, standing for extended periods
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently
  • Clear communication and the ability to follow inspection checklists and flag issues
