Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and eager to learn more about meal preparation and food safety practices. Duties Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using proper knife skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Support cooks and chefs by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes as directed. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly and safely. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Participate in cleaning tasks at the end of shifts to ensure a sanitary work environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of basic food safety practices is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
