Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements to recipes when appropriate Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards and sanitation regulations Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, including storage, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours Support catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to safety standards in production Experience Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and recipe adherence Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills with slicing techniques that ensure efficiency and safety in the kitchen Knowledge of food safety management practices and compliance with safety standards in production environments Experience operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and fryers effectively Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
