Duties Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist with slicing, dicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently Follow food safety management protocols to maintain hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination Support meal preparation for various service settings including catering events, restaurant service, or dietary departments Maintain cleanliness of workstations by cleaning utensils, equipment, and food prep areas regularly Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and effective communication during busy service hours Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking experience within the food industry or restaurant settings Strong knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling techniques Skilled in recipe adherence, menu planning support, and meal preparation processes Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members Basic culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and understanding of food safety management practices This paid position welcomes individuals passionate about culinary arts who are eager to grow their skills in a vibrant team environment.
