Lead Line Cook at brick & tin Are you passionate about real food, made from scratch? Do you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen where leadership, consistency, and craftsmanship matter? brick & tin is looking for a dedicated Lead Line Cook to help lead our culinary team with excellence. As an Lead Line Cook, you'll be instrumental in upholding the high standards our guests expect — from precision in execution to a culture of integrity, accountability, and creativity in the kitchen.
What You'll Do:
Lead by example : Guide and inspire our kitchen team to execute brick & tin's scratch-made recipes to perfection every day. Support & develop your team : Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new back-of-house staff. Mentor team members, provide feedback, and help foster a positive, high-performance culture. Maintain operational excellence : Partner with the Kitchen Manager and senior leadership to manage food and labor costs, ensure proper inventory levels, and keep kitchen operations running smoothly. Drive quality & consistency : Ensure every dish meets our standards — from ingredient prep to plating — while maintaining exceptional cleanliness and organization. Lead health & safety efforts : Be a point of contact for Health Department visits and ensure compliance with all sanitation and food safety standards.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a fast-paced, from-scratch kitchen Strong understanding of kitchen operations, inventory, costing, and scheduling A passion for honest food, team development, and operational excellence Solid knowledge of a wide range of techniques and recipes Open availability and commitment to a 45+ hour work week Culinary school or restaurant management degree is a plus — but not required if you've got the skills and experience Why brick & tin?
