March 31, 2026 Prep Cook Clarksville, AR $13 / per hour Temp Apply Now Back Job Description The Dining Hall Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food production, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role supports cooks and kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and in accordance with food quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning food items Assist in basic food preparation such as salads, sides, and simple recipes Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and storage areas Properly label, date, and store food according to food safety regulations Operate kitchen equipment safely (knives, slicers, mixers, etc.) Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries Monitor inventory and report shortages or spoilage Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Support cooks and kitchen staff during peak service times

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred Previous food service or kitchen experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent lifting of up to 40-50 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, and reach Comfortable working in a hot or cold kitchen environment

Work Environment:

Commercial kitchen or dining hall setting May include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on schedule - Flexibility needed Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
