Job Description
Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and menu specifications Cook and assemble dishes efficiently, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, ovens, fryers, and other appliances Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety standards Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality during all stages of food production Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance and managing inventory levels Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely service during busy hours Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food service environments Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Excellent knife skills with slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and responsibly Experience with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and serving teams Knowledge of food handling protocols, and restaurant industry standards Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness through cleaning routines and sanitation practices
