Overview This job does require nights & weekends!! We close at 8 every day and closed on sundays We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in the food industry, demonstrating expertise in meal preparation and food safety. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious and nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our clients while adhering to high standards of quality and hygiene. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Utilize proper knife skills for meal preparation, ensuring efficiency and safety in the kitchen. Assist in menu planning to provide diverse and appealing meal options. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages or needs for restocking. Skills Proven experience in the food service industry with a strong understanding of meal preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance during food handling. Proficient knife skills for efficient meal preparation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in menu planning and ingredient management. Experience as a dietary aide is a plus, particularly in understanding nutritional requirements.
