Responsibilities Prepare and assemble ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality. Cook a variety of dishes with precision, adhering to food safety standards and safety protocols in the kitchen. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, and knives safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices. Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods. Support food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety management standards. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food industry settings. Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning. Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus. Familiarity with food safety standards, including proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining flexibility for special requests or catering needs. Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
