Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, and food processors. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety standards and sanitation protocols. Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily specials. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service. Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques, knife skills, slicing methods, and portion control. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a hotel or food industry setting. Strong knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus. Familiarity with food safety management systems and safety standards in production environments. Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Ability to follow recipes precisely and adhere to meal preparation guidelines. Demonstrated proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Prior experience in catering or food service environments is advantageous.
