Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at The Foundry Plates & Spirits. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
• Cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes
• Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented in an appealing manner
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
• Assist with menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Follow proper knife handling techniques to ensure safety

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service or a related role preferred
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
