Head Chef / Dietary Department Manager Position Summary Pinetop Senior Living is seeking a reliable and skilled Cook to support daily kitchen operations and meal service for our residents. This role focuses on food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment while following dietary guidelines and recipes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking meaningful meals and contributing to a positive dining experience for seniors. Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines. Assist with preparation of therapeutic diets and texture-modified meals (pureed, mechanical soft, etc.) as directed. Ensure timely meal service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Kitchen Operations & Safety Follow all ADHS food safety and sanitation standards. Maintain proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature controls. Keep kitchen, prep areas, and equipment clean and organized. Service & Resident Experience Assist with plating and presentation of meals. Support special meals, holidays, and themed dining events as scheduled. Communicate respectfully with residents and team members. Qualifications Previous cooking experience required (senior living, healthcare, or high-volume kitchen preferred). Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices. Experience with therapeutic diets is a plus but not required (training provided). Skills & Requirements Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and dietary guidelines. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
