Part-Time Position Summary Roy's Crab Shack & Brick Oven Pizza is seeking a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Pizza Maker / Kitchen Team Member to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and other menu items while maintaining exceptional food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well independently, and takes pride in producing consistent, delicious food for every guest. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pizza Preparation Prepare, mix, portion, and proof pizza dough according to company recipes and standards. Hand stretch and toss pizza dough to proper specifications. Prepare and cook pizzas in a brick oven while maintaining consistent quality and presentation. Monitor oven temperatures and cooking times to ensure product quality. Ensure proper portioning and use of ingredients. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management or ownership to support the overall success and operation of the restaurant. Food Preparation Prepare sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and other menu items according to recipes and standards. Assist with daily food preparation and stocking of all kitchen stations. Slice, chop, and prepare vegetables, meats, cheeses, and other ingredients. Label, date, and rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. Assist in seafood and kitchen preparation as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management or ownership to support the overall success and operation of the restaurant. Kitchen Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times. Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment throughout the shift. Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, equipment, floors, storage areas, and workstations. Assist with opening and closing duties. Properly store food and supplies according to health department standards. Receive and properly stock deliveries. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management or ownership to support the overall success and operation of the restaurant. Food Safety & Compliance Follow all San Bernardino County Department of Public Health food handling regulations. Maintain a valid California Food Handler Card. Adhere to OSHA workplace safety standards and company safety policies. Follow proper handwashing, sanitation, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention procedures. Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or food safety concerns immediately. Teamwork & Performance Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Assist other team members and departments when needed. Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance. Deliver consistent, high-quality food products during every shift. Follow all company recipes, procedures, and quality standards. Qualifications Previous pizza-making or restaurant kitchen experience preferred but not required. Experience with dough preparation and hand-tossed pizza preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to work in hot kitchen environments near ovens and cooking equipment.
