Join Our Kitchen Team MEKENI Pinoy's Pride is looking for a passionate and hardworking Cook with experience in Filipino cuisine, preferably Kapampangan dishes. We are searching for someone who takes pride in preparing authentic, home-style food while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and quality in a fast-paced restaurant environment. If you love Filipino food, enjoy working with a team, and want to help preserve and elevate Kapampangan cuisine, we would love to meet you. Position Summary The Cook is responsible for food preparation, cooking, buffet production, station setup, recipe execution, and maintaining food quality standards. This position works closely with the Head Chef and Kitchen Team to ensure guests receive delicious and consistent meals every day. Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook Filipino dishes according to MEKENI recipes and standards. Follow proper portioning and food presentation guidelines. Assist in buffet production and replenishment. Maintain consistency in flavor, quality, and appearance. Properly store and rotate ingredients using FIFO procedures. Kitchen Operations Set up and stock cooking stations before service. Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries. Monitor food inventory and report shortages. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas. Assist with catering, private events, and special functions. Food Safety & Sanitation Follow all health department regulations. Maintain safe food handling practices. Keep workstations clean throughout shifts. Properly clean and sanitize equipment and utensils. Preferred Qualifications Required Previous restaurant cooking experience. Ability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Team-oriented mindset. Preferred Experience preparing Filipino dishes. Knowledge of Kapampangan cuisine. Experience with buffet operations. Knowledge of traditional cooking methods and recipes.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
