Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Cook a variety of meals with attention to flavor, presentation, and food safety standards Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and meal options Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, adhering to portion control and quality standards Serve meals in accordance with safety guidelines, ensuring a positive experience for diners Skills Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide, with knowledge of special dietary needs and restrictions Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within restaurant or food industry settings Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques. Ability to butterfly chicken thighs a plus! Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting serving operations Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and general kitchen experience is highly desirable
