ABOUT THE ROLE
(Part Time) Friday to Sunday 10:30am-7pm As a Line Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will take on a dynamic role bringing energy and care to every step of the culinary experience in our vibrant community kitchen. From preparing fresh, flavorful dishes to setting the stage for memorable meals, you play a key part in creating moments residents truly enjoy. You will craft high quality meals with attention to detail, following company recipes while adding pride and passion to every plate. The ideal candidate is dependable, takes ownership of their work, and leads with compassion. Thriving in a fast moving, hands on environment, they work seamlessly with the team, stay ready to jump in when needed, and are committed to delivering outstanding hospitality that supports seniors in living their best lives. This is a flexible weekend on call opportunity perfect for someone who is adaptable and eager to make a meaningful impact.
YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation Properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting Proven success with basic Culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community All offers of employment are conditional based on the successful completion of a State and Federal criminal background check, drug screen, job related physical and TB test.
