Line Cook — Owen's Italiano Chino, CA Owen's Italiano is seeking a Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This position works both lunch and dinner service , supporting a menu that includes sandwiches, pasta, pizza, and rotating specials. We are looking for someone who can move with urgency, stay organized, and execute consistently in a fast-paced environment . Lunch is fast-paced and sandwich-driven, while dinner shifts into a more elevated Italian menu. Position Overview The Line Cook will be responsible for prep, station setup, and full menu execution during both lunch and dinner. This role requires versatility — from building sandwiches quickly during lunch to executing hot line items during dinner. Responsibilities Execute menu items quickly and accurately during lunch and dinner service Prepare sandwiches, salads, pasta, and hot entrées Assist with pizza station as needed Complete daily prep (proteins, sauces, portioning, etc.) Set up and break down stations for both services Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workstation Follow recipes, portions, and plating standards Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen support when needed What We're Looking For Experience in a fast-paced kitchen (sandwich shop, casual, or full-service restaurant) Ability to handle volume and stay composed under pressure Fast hands and strong sense of urgency Clean and organized work habits Reliable and consistent — shows up ready to work Willingness to learn multiple stations Schedule Must be available for both lunch and dinner shifts Tuesday-Saturday availability preferred Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly pay based on experience Staff meals provided daily Flexible hours Opportunity to grow into higher kitchen roles Why This Role Matters This is a key position that keeps the kitchen moving.
