Manage food safety protocols by maintaining proper sanitizing procedures and ensuring all food handling practices meet health regulations. Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties and seasonal specials based on customer preferences and current food trends. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control during all stages of pizza production. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours, supporting high-volume production needs. Uphold cleanliness standards by regularly sanitizing workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety management practices. Requirements Proven experience as a pizza maker or in a similar culinary role within a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation methods relevant to pizza making. Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling regulations, and kitchen equipment operation. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for high-volume production settings. Background in fine dining or catering environments is a plus, demonstrating versatility in culinary skills. Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is advantageous for accommodating diverse customer needs.
