Join Pilgrim Place, a welcoming senior living community in Claremont, CA, where respect, kindness, and teamwork guide all that we do. We're looking for a dependable and compassionate Food Service Cook to join our team. In this role, you'll provide personal care and support that helps residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.
Schedule Requirement:
This position requires full open availability , including weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Shifts may vary based on operational needs.
What You'll Do:
Prepares meals, including therapeutic diets and special menu needs for residents. Maintains food safety standards, sanitation, and HACCP compliance. Monitors food temperatures, refrigerators, freezers, and required logs daily. Manages food deliveries, stock rotation, inventory, and menu support. Supports dining service, teamwork, safety practices, and other assigned kitchen duties.

What You Bring Minimum two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking and special diets, preferably in healthcare. Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic for quantity recipes. Experience directing employees and leading kitchen staff. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong confidentiality, sound judgment, and reliable attendance.
