This position is primarily responsible for preparing all side dishes, desserts, and assisting with kitchen operations to ensure food is prepared consistently, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and portion standards. Prepare desserts according to company recipes and presentation standards. Follow all preparation instructions provided by the Head Chef. Ensure food quality and proper presentation. Kitchen Support Assist the Head Chef with food preparation and production. Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, measuring, and portioning. Assist with order preparation. Maintain proper food holding temperatures. Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are low. Quality & Food Safety Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Properly label, date, and store food products. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Adhere to health department regulations and company standards. Ensure recipes are followed exactly to maintain product consistency. Cleaning & Organization Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and workstations. Wash utensils, containers, and cooking equipment as needed. Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties. Keep storage areas organized and stocked. Teamwork Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and front-of-house employees. Assist with catering and special event food preparation. Support overall restaurant operations as directed by management. Qualifications Required Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail and food quality. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Preferred Previous restaurant, food preparation, or kitchen experience. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Experience preparing side dishes and comfort foods. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and work around hot cooking equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
