Cook/Cashier Gustos Kebab LLC El Segundo, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract $17.00 - $17.50 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Pre-cooking preparation Kitchen knives Basic math Attention to detail Food Handler Certification FDA regulations Full Job Description Part time Tuesday Thursdays and some Fridays Communicate food orders with the cook to ensure items meals are cooked as ordered and grouped by customers at the same time. Take orders from customers through the point of sales system POS. Handle all cash and credit card transactions for all food and beverage purchases and write charge slips as necessary. Ability to write and read orders, understand instruction and talk to fellow staff members Perform simple food preparation tasks such as making sandwiches, carving meats, brewing coffee and etc. Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, counters and tables consistently throughout shift. Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area. Keep beverage coolers stocked consistently throughout shift. Ensure food is consistently delivered quickly and hot, when needed. Ensure food is fully prepared and meets the FDA requirements for proper food temperatures, when needed. Ability to answer customers' questions, and provide information on food and beverage procedures and policies the company, City, State or Federal government; from pricings to FDA regulations and more. Must have memorized knowledge of the menu, prices and ingredients. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with high demand for changes. Job Requirements - California Food Handlers License ( Can get with in two weeks of hire) Customer service experience preferred Great attention to detail Knowledge of basic mathematics required Steady hand to handle knifes and other kitchen utensils Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
