Responsibilities Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, nutritious, and appealing meal options tailored to dietary needs Prepare and cook meals using proper food handling techniques, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times Serve meals efficiently while providing friendly and attentive customer service to residents or clients Support the dietary department by assisting with food preparation, portioning, and plating in accordance with dietary guidelines Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas by following sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules Handle food items safely during storage, transportation, and disposal to prevent contamination or spoilage Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal delivery and overall smooth operation of food services Experience Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or community settings preferred Hands-on experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking in a professional environment Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling practices in the food industry or restaurant experience is highly valued Skills in knife handling, food presentation, and catering are advantageous Background in kitchen operations or restaurant service that demonstrates strong food industry knowledge Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while adhering to dietary restrictions and safety standards Experience with serving large groups or catering events is a plus This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and dedicated to providing nourishing meals that enhance well-being.
