Duties Prepare fresh ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning to support daily menu needs Assist with cooking and food assembly according to established recipes and safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen prep areas, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming meals or catering events Handle food products safely, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and presentation Contribute to food handling procedures that promote hygiene, safety, and quality in all aspects of food service Skills Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued for understanding special dietary needs Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within restaurant or food service environments Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques Skilled in knife work, ingredient portioning, and basic culinary techniques Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining efficiency during busy periods Familiarity with menu planning and catering support is a plus Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
