You will be on your feet, performing various duties at a brisk pace throughout your entire shift, and may also assist customers. This role is perfect for those who prefer staying busy and constantly moving but may not be suitable for individuals who prefer a slower-paced or sedentary work environment. • There is a lot of structure, rules, and specific processes in our kitchen, all of which are strictly enforced. We are organized and maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times. This is ideal for those who enjoy keeping their work environment tidy, following instructions, and learning new tasks. Responsibilities Main tasks include vegetable prep, packaging, and preparing dressings. Other duties may include customer service, pre-labeling, dishes, cleaning, organizing, and various side tasks. Prep vegetables alongside the sous chef and learn how to calculate proportions from recipe lists. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and effective communication. Prepare dressings and sauces by following written recipes and instructions. Basic knowledge of calculations and measurements is required. Correctly pre-label containers and package meals/desserts according to health standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Handle food items safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety guidelines. Qualifications Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly valued Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling safety practices are essential Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures is necessary Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others and supporting the culinary team
