Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook, where your enthusiasm for food preparation and kitchen excellence will shine! In this vital role, you will assist in preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient meal service. Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and standards Assist in assembling dishes and plating food items for service Support the cooking team with food preparation tasks to ensure timely meal delivery Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming meals and special events Support catering functions by preparing large quantities of ingredients or dishes as needed Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols is essential Knowledge of menu planning and meal assembly enhances performance in this role Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques are beneficial Experience with food handling, catering, and serving environments will support your success A background in the food industry or culinary experience demonstrates your commitment to quality food service Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
