Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily food preparation, ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality, and lead a team of line cooks to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your culinary expertise, combined with strong leadership skills, will inspire excellence in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every dish meets our standards of flavor, presentation, and consistency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced cooks passionate about fine dining and culinary innovation to make a significant impact. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the line cooking team, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow during service hours Prepare and cook menu items with precision, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning Oversee food handling procedures to adhere to strict safety and sanitation standards Collaborate with menu planners to execute dishes that align with culinary concepts and customer expectations Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; communicate needs for restocking or ordering Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station according to health regulations Assist in training new team members on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and food industry best practices Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining environments Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly Proven leadership ability to manage kitchen staff effectively under pressure Experience in menu planning and executing diverse culinary offerings Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide practices is a plus Excellent food safety practices and understanding of food handling regulations Ability to coordinate catering events or large-scale food service operations when needed
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
