The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other cooking tools. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Provide assistance to dietary aides as needed to ensure all meals meet nutritional guidelines. Qualifications Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Proficient in food preparation techniques, including knife skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Creativity in meal preparation and presentation is a plus. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.
