We're looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in consistency and cleanliness, and can follow established recipes, preparation procedures, cooking standards, and management direction.
Position Details Schedule:
Primarily Saturdays and Sundays Starting Wage:
$17.00 per hour during the introductory period + applicable tips

Biweekly Eligible employees may participate in the restaurant's tip-pooling arrangement in accordance with Company policy and applicable law. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portions, procedures, cooking times, and temperatures. Complete assigned prep accurately and efficiently. Operate grills, fryers, pizza equipment, and other kitchen equipment safely. Use required timers and temperature controls to maintain food quality and consistency. Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift. Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, restocking, and other kitchen duties as needed. Receive, organize, rotate, and properly store food and supplies. Monitor inventory and communicate shortages, food-quality concerns, or equipment issues to management. Work collaboratively with both back-of-house and front-of-house team members. Assist other stations and team members during busy periods as needed. Follow established Company procedures and reasonable management direction. Qualifications Must possess or obtain a valid California Food Handler Card and ServSafe Employee certification. Previous professional kitchen or restaurant experience preferred. Experience with grill, fryer, pizza, sandwiches, salads, and basic food preparation preferred. Basic knife skills and ability to safely operate kitchen equipment. Ability to follow written recipes and verbal instructions. Strong attention to quality, consistency, and detail. Dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled weekend shifts. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Professional and respectful communication with coworkers and management. Ability to remain organized and productive in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to assist throughout the kitchen as operational needs require. Ability to obtain and maintain any food-handler certification required by applicable law. What We Value Consistency is important at Monty's.
