We are currently looking for a dedicated, motivated and experienced Assistant Cook to join our Dietary team. Submit your application today or give us a call for more details! Qualifications (non-negotiable): Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by Community Care Licensing Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening High school diploma or GED required Experience in an assisted living environment preferred Flexible scheduling. Position may include weekends and holidays Prepare and serve food to residents in our community Ensure all special dietary needs are met and preparing texture modified food as directed Ensure compliance with all record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements Train new kitchen aide and other staff on proper cooking routines and kitchen procedures Follow facility menu and maintain portion control as directed by dietitian Identify and develop new initiatives and areas of improvements to better serve our residents Order, receive, verify and sign for groceries and deliveries Maintain and appropriately handle facility food budgets Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and dining room utensils, informing Administrator of any challenges or safety hazards Attend all monthly in-services and facility staff meetings obtaining proper documentation of each meeting or training Be fully aware of individual resident likes, dislikes and health restrictions Supervise food production for quality of products and service Prepare and enforce daily, weekly and monthly kitchen cleaning schedules to maintain compliance with safety and health restrictions We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full time employees including medical, dental, vision insurance.
