As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to perfection in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Here at Tane Vegan Izakaya, we strive for creative innovation and executing Japanese plat-based dishes that will remain staples in Los Angeles. Your culinary expertise will contribute to our restaurant's reputation for excellence and paying homage to the Izakaya style of Japan right here in LA. Recruiting team players with heart and experience to pave the way for OUR success. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and guidelines. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and operational improvements. Requirements Proven experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant or Japanese food specialists. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills and techniques. Strive to maintain a team driven atmosphere with the attitude to excel in skills.
