We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook at our assisted living community, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals tailored to their dietary needs and preferences. Your culinary expertise and passion for cooking will contribute to creating a pleasant dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus. Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and consistency. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary requirements. Assist in menu planning and development. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment. Adhere to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure a positive dining experience for residents. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals to meet dietary guidelines. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Criminal background clearance pass required. High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
