If hired, candidate must apply for and obtain a work permit with the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department in order to begin working. The cost is currently $167 and is reimbursable if candidate successfully passes the background. The Sheriff's department will check your criminal background. You cannot work without this permit. The kitchen is open 7 days a week from 8 am

• 11 pm.

Expected schedule:

Monday 7 am

• 3:30 pm, Tuesday 7 am
• 3:30 pm, Friday 3:00
• 11:30 pm, Saturday 3:00
• 11:30 pm If you do not have a current Food Handler Certification, we will assist you in obtaining one.

Job Duties:

Prep and cook a wide variety of dishes in a high volume, fast paced environment. Wok cooking experience helpful. Cook, prep, and clean kitchen every shift.

Successful candidate profile:

Attention to detail and a willingness to work quickly and safely while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor. Team player with communication skills in English. Verbal Spanish helpful but not required. Excellent attendance and timeliness are required. Minimum of 2 years line experience at full service restaurants. Be able to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Salary depends on experience. Medical, dental, vision benefits ( must meet hours requirements to be eligible and enrollment is on the first of the month after 60 days of employment) and 401(k) available. Felonies, dishonesty, or stealing will result in automatic denial.
