Job Overview This is a position at an LGBTQ assisted living community. This is a
PART TIME
position. We are seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to menu specifications while adhering to food safety standards. Duties- Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure the quality and presentation of food meets the established standards
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs
- Collaborate with dietary aides and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook in a dietary or food service setting
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with menu planning and culinary principles
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Certification in food safety and sanitation practices is a plus
