Job Description
Paso Robles west-side winery is looking for candidates for our onsite bistro. 3-4 days a week. Responsibilities will include kitchen preparation, food knowledge, menu execution and product presentation. Candidates will also have the opportunity for additional compensation by assisting with on-site events, including wine dinners, festival weekends and private parties and experiences.
Responsibilities:
Daily menu preparation ensuring all menu items are cooked and presented to the highest standards. Handle, store and rotate all food products properly. Ability to receive, organize and inventory all vendor deliveries. The ability to professionally represent the company and brand. Assist with on-site and off-site special events as needed. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and all associated areas of the building. Comply with all sanitation and health and safety standards Demonstrated passion and knowledge of food and wine pairings. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in the food service industry. Must have a CA food service handling card or obtain one after hired. Knowledgeable and passionate about the relationship between food and wine. Commitment to excellence, high standards and detail. Must be able to work weekends, especially Sunday, major holidays, wine club pick up parties, association events, and industry events. Must be able to follow recipes and directions.Physical Requirements:
Ability to talk to customers, stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to set-up and break-down structures, tables, etc. and be able to utilize dolly cart and other equipment to assist in moving heavy objects. Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.Compensation:
