Lead Line Cook

Ramblehorn Cafe is hiring a dependable Lead Line Cook for our busy rustic breakfast & lunch café in Pine Grove. We're looking for a strong cook and calm kitchen leader who can help maintain a smooth, organized, team-focused kitchen during high-volume breakfast and lunch service. This is a hands-on working position — not a fine dining "chef" role. The ideal candidate is reliable, low-drama, organized, fast on the line, and comfortable helping lead a small team while working side-by-side with the crew. Responsibilities Lead and support breakfast & lunch service Cook on the line during busy shifts Help maintain ticket flow, kitchen communication, and organization Assist with prep lists, pars, ordering, and inventory organization Help train and support line cooks and prep staff Maintain food quality, consistency, and portion standards Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures Help maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards Support a respectful, team-oriented kitchen culture Work closely with ownership to improve systems and operations Qualifications Strong breakfast/lunch cooking experience required Weekends Required Previous lead line cook, kitchen lead, or kitchen supervisor experience preferred Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy service Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic Understanding of prep systems, station organization, and kitchen workflow Food safety knowledge required ServSafe certification preferred but not required

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
