We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and caring Childcare Cook and Classroom Float to join our team. This position combines meal preparation responsibilities with classroom support, helping ensure children receive nutritious meals while maintaining a positive and well-supported learning environment throughout the day. Position Overview The Childcare Cook and Classroom Float is responsible for preparing and serving daily meals and snacks, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards, and assisting in classrooms as needed. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a genuine love for working with children. Key ResponsibilitiesFood Service Duties Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks in accordance with center menus and nutrition guidelines Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food storage, and food preparation areas Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and assist with inventory and supply management Monitor food supplies and communicate ordering needs to management Accommodate approved dietary restrictions and food allergies as directed Classroom Support Duties Assist classrooms throughout the day as a float teacher, providing coverage where needed Support teachers during activities, transitions, outdoor play, meals, and nap times Supervise children while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment Help implement daily routines and classroom expectations Assist with cleaning, organization, and classroom setup Step into classrooms during staff breaks, lunches, meetings, or absences Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Qualifications Experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations preferred Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, school, or recreational setting preferred Completion of or willingness to complete required childcare licensing and training requirements Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures Strong organizational and time-management skills Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing daily needs Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Ability to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and actively engage with children Why Join TNT Kidz Center?
