Prep Cook & Fulfillment Team Member Pass the Plate San Jose, CA Job Details Part-time $22 - $25 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Route driving Packing Driver's License Picking & packing Full Job Description .Prep Cook & Fulfillment Team Member Pass the Plate | San Jose, CA Part-Time | Monday-Wednesday | $22-$25/hour DOE Pass the Plate is a new family-style meal delivery company making fresh, chef-driven meals for busy Bay Area families. We're building our founding kitchen team and looking for an experienced Prep Cook who can support weekly food production and also help with meal assembly, fulfillment, and local deliveries. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in the kitchen, moves efficiently, cares about quality, and wants the opportunity to grow with a young food company. What You'll Do Monday & Tuesday — Prep
+ Production Prep vegetables, proteins, grains, sauces, dressings, and other meal components Follow recipes and prep lists accurately Assist with batch cooking and weekly meal production Portion and organize ingredients for production Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe workstation Help with dishes, cleaning, and kitchen reset as needed Wednesday — Assembly
+ Fulfillment Portion and package completed meals Label and quality-check customer orders Assemble delivery bags accurately and efficiently Organize orders by delivery route Help load and prepare orders for delivery Drive a local delivery route as needed (this is not a requirement of this position, but a way to have more hours if you want them) What We're Looking For Previous professional prep cook or kitchen experience required Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques Ability to follow recipes and prep lists accurately Comfortable working with batch quantities and staying organized during production Reliable, efficient, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation Willingness to jump between prep, cooking, packaging, cleaning, and fulfillment as needed Positive, collaborative attitude and comfortable working on a small team If you are interested in also doing deliveries on Wed afternoons candidates should have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. Schedule Approximately 20-24 hours per week

PM Tuesday:
8:00 AM-4:00
PM Wednesday:
Approximately 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Wednesday hours may vary slightly depending on production and delivery routes. Pay $22-$25/hour, depending on experience Opportunity to Grow We're building Pass the Plate from the ground up, and we want to hire people who can grow with us. As our order volume increases, this position has the opportunity to develop into a Prep Lead, Assembly/Fulfillment Lead, or other kitchen leadership role.
