Whether you're experienced in food preparation or eager to grow your kitchen expertise, this role is perfect for motivated individuals ready to make an impact. 6 days a week 5:00 am to 11:00 am Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in meal preparation by slicing, dicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients with skillful knife techniques and slicing methods. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety standards and sanitation protocols. Support menu planning efforts by suggesting improvements and assisting with special dietary requirements or catering orders. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times and communicate effectively about order status or ingredient needs. Follow all safety standards in food production, handling food safely from preparation through to serving, minimizing cross-contamination risks. Qualifications Previous experience in food service environments such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures. Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques; experience with recipe adherence is a plus. Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff. Background in culinary arts or related training is advantageous; dietary aide or dietary department experience is a bonus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
