Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Paella Cook to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing and executing paellas and other rice-based dishes to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. The ideal candidate has experience working with traditional Spanish cooking techniques, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of paellas and Spanish rice dishes according to CTZN recipes and standards. Manage mise en place and station setup for service. Ensure proper cooking techniques, timing, seasoning, and presentation of all dishes. Monitor product quality, freshness, and inventory levels. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paella station and kitchen areas. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen team members during service. Assist with prep and other kitchen duties as needed. Contribute ideas for seasonal specials and menu development. Qualifications Previous experience cooking paella or Spanish cuisine preferred. Experience in high-volume restaurant kitchens. Strong understanding of cooking proteins, seafood, stocks, and rice cookery. Ability to multitask and maintain consistency under pressure. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Basque and Spanish culinary traditions. Experience cooking over open flame, charcoal, or specialty paella equipment. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience.
