The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Lead Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in menu planning, food safety, and maintaining high standards of kitchen operations. This position requires both leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient workflow among kitchen staff. Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and dietary considerations. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods. Execute catering orders and special event menus as required. Experience Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry, preferably in fine dining or catering environments. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety protocols. Experience in menu planning and meal preparation is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage kitchen operations effectively. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods. Previous experience as a dietary aide or within a dietary department is an asset. A background in restaurant service is beneficial for understanding customer expectations.
