In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient meal service. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure readiness for cooking and plating Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, sandwiches, and side dishes in accordance with recipes and portion standards Support the cooking team by following established procedures for food handling, cooking techniques, and presentation Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Organize and stock kitchen supplies, ensuring all ingredients are properly stored and rotated Follow menu planning guidelines to assist in meal assembly and presentation Adhere to all food safety protocols including proper knife skills, sanitation practices, and allergen awareness Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Experience working in food service, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry demonstrating strong kitchen skills Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining quality standards Familiarity with menu planning, catering support, and serving operations is a plus Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and safety compliance Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join us as a Prep Cook and be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences!
