Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items according to standardized recipes and plating specifications Cook and finish dishes with attention to presentation, flavor, and consistency Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure freshness Support catering events by preparing bulk meals and coordinating timely service Follow all kitchen safety procedures, including knife skills and proper equipment use Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times Requirements Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related food service role is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential Knowledge of dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques are highly desirable Understanding of food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Experience in restaurant or food industry environments demonstrates readiness for this role Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations This position is paid and offers an exciting chance to grow your culinary career within a supportive environment that values your contributions.
