Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep / Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to meet meal service demands. Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs. Requirements Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
