Lead Cook (Senior Living & Wellness)

Position Overview WeCare Colorado is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our culinary team. The primary focus of this role is to prepare nutritious, high-quality, and healthy meals for our senior residents. We are looking for an individual who has a genuine interest in working with senior citizens and is committed to supporting their overall well-being through exceptional dining experiences and daily interaction.

Key Responsibilities Nutritional Meal Preparation:

Prepare and cook balanced, healthy meals specifically designed to meet the dietary needs and preferences of seniors.

Senior Support & Engagement:

Actively support seniors during meal times, demonstrating patience and a helpful attitude toward their unique needs.

Menu Adherence:

Follow established recipes and menus while ensuring food is presented in an appealing and appetizing manner.

Safety & Sanitation:

Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and infection control in accordance with facility policies and health regulations.

Dietary Compliance:

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to accommodate special therapeutic diets or texture modifications for residents.

Inventory Management:

Assist in monitoring food supplies to ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Qualifications Interest in

Senior Care:

A demonstrated interest in working with the elderly and a desire to support their daily quality of life.

Experience:

Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment.

Certifications:

A valid Food Handlers certification is required.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of healthy cooking techniques and nutritional requirements for the elderly.
