Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing fresh ingredients, executing recipes with precision, and supporting the overall flow of meal production. Your energy and culinary skills will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Execute food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, portioning, and garnishing with skillful knife techniques and slicing methods Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients needed for daily specials or catering events Support the kitchen team through effective communication to ensure smooth coordination during busy service times Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold safety standards in production and prevent cross-contamination Experience Previous experience working in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering services, or dietary departments is highly desirable Familiarity with food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Demonstrated ability to handle food safely, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures Experience with meal preparation, recipe adherence, and catering operations is a plus Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team Knowledge of dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is advantageous for supporting special dietary needs Embark on a culinary journey that celebrates teamwork, creativity, and safety! Pay:
