Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients, assembling delicious dishes, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Your culinary skills and attention to safety standards will ensure every meal meets our quality expectations and delights our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your cooking expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Duties Prepare ingredients through precise slicing, dicing, and portioning using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Follow recipes meticulously to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served. Assist with menu planning by preparing components needed for daily specials or upcoming events. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors. Maintain cleanliness by regularly sanitizing workstations, utensils, and cooking surfaces in accordance with food safety standards. Support food preparation activities for catering or large-scale meal service as needed. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal assembly and ensure timely service. Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting. Strong knowledge of food safety management and adherence to safety standards during production. Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience with meal preparation, food handling, and cleaning procedures in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members. Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs and menu planning.
