Bistro Cook Courtyard by Marriott Orange- SBM Hospitality Orange, CT Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $17.94 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Cooking English Food service Restaurant experience Kitchen experience Full Job Description As a Bistro Cook you will: Accurately and quickly prepare all food orders in the kitchen, according to the prescribed procedure Answer all questions about cooking methods, menu items. Provide suggestions and utilize upselling techniques during customer interaction Prepare and deliver orders Check food to ascertain that appearance, temperature and potions are correct and deliver food orders in a timely fashion Clean, clear and reset dining room table Clean and restock service items Review hotel occupancy on a daily basis for accurate preparation before shifts Develop and refer to production charts for accurate daily averages on preparation of menu items Practice food safety with the completion of logs and checklists Complete shift opening and shift closing checklists to set-up each shift for success and confirm with manager daily on extra projects to be completed Candidate must be available for morning and evening shifts, as well as holidays, weekend and weekday availability. Fundamentals Clear, effective written and verbal English communication skills are required. This role requires continuous motion and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, clearing tables, buffets, and pulling tables.
