Job Description

The Salty Dog Tavern is a lively neighborhood spot where great food, cold drinks, and exciting sports come together. We're passionate about serving fresh, delicious meals in a fun, high-energy environment. We're looking for a reliable and motivated Part Time Line Cook to join our kitchen team and help us keep the good times rolling.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and cook menu items to our recipes and standards Set up and stock stations before and during service Maintain a clean and organized work area Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen Follow proper food handling and safety guidelines Assist with prep, restocking, and closing duties as needed
What We're Looking For:
Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate Ability to work under pressure and keep up in a busy environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and positive attitude Flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Application Question(s): How many years of kitchen/line cook experience do you have, and where? What's your approach to keeping your station clean and organized during a shift? What's one quality you think makes you a strong line cook? Which stations are you most comfortable working (grill, fryer, sauté, prep, etc.)? Do you have experience working in a fast-paced tavern, bar, or high-volume kitchen? Are you legally authorized to work in the U.S.? How do you ensure food is cooked consistently and to proper temperature? What's your favorite dish to cook, and why?
