Role:
Cheshire House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a part of Ryders Health Management's family-owned management company, is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team! As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents. Our commitment is to provide the full continuum of post-acute care, and your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the dining experience for our residents.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, for residents, staff, and visitors Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Manage inventory and ordering of food and supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring freshness Collaborate with dietary staff to develop menus and special diets as needed Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring residents' needs are met and their satisfaction is high Maintain accurate records of food preparation, inventory, and waste
Requirements:
Passion for cooking and ability to prepare a variety of meals Basic food safety knowledge and certifications a plus Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods Basic math skills for inventory management and ordering Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
